All treats this Halloween

No, Steven did not grow out his hair, it's a wig. HA!

Sara and her friends dancing.

Liza loved the candy.

Sara playing pumpkin bowl.

Here are some pics from Halloween. We went to our church's fall festival and had a great time.

"That's it?"

Just tucked Sara in bed. She wanted me to pray first, I did, said Amen. She looks at me and says "That's it? You're supposed to pray for more things. You only prayed for two things." After she prayed she reminded me I needed to pray for more things before I went to bed. Oh how wise is a 3 year old.

Suit up

Why is it I feel like I need to dress out in full football pads to get down in the floor and play with my girls. They are ROUGH - or am I just getting old?

Random

I came into the living room and found Sara like this, watching Dora and had to grab my camera.

Joy.

Just a shot of my beautiful girls.

Pumpkin Farm

A few weeks ago we went to the Pumpkin farm with some friends of ours. Here are just a few shots of the girls.

New Blog

Hello our fellow friends and family. Thanks for following us over to a new blog. I have created a new blog because the old blog address included the first and last name and for security reasons we didn't like that. I will be shutting that one down in the near future. I hope you continue to follow us. I can't promise my posting will improve. I'm struggling to keep up with two toddlers, much less a blog right now. But I will try my best to bring you some "joy" and "happiness" as often as possible. I have for a while been calling Sara "Joy" and Liza "Happiness". They are my special names for them. Those are the names that sing in my heart when they are wrapped in my arms. (unless they are wrapped in my arms for restraint purposes that is - then they are just "rotten" and "sassy".) HA!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins tonight. It was the only night we could do it this week. It wasn't a shocker that Sara didn't want to touch any of the pumpkin guts. When we asked Liza to help with it she said emphatically - "No." It was hysterical. They enjoyed watching Steven and I carve them though. Steven carved Sara's and I carved Liza's. Sara's is the one on the bottom step and Liza's is the one on the top step. I tried to carve Liza's pumpkin's mouth/teeth to match Liza's. I have to say it's pretty spot on. Ha. Liza walked circles around us the whole time we were carving.

Why "yellowmakesmesing"?

So we are changing the web address to our blog, creating a new blog actually. We chose "yellowmakesmesing" because for us, it does. Sara as always loves to sing and one particular song in which the lyrics are "your love makes me sing" she insists on singing "yellow makes me sing" which we have now adopted and cherish. I'm hoping too it will be easy to remember.
